MEET TRACY BOONE
Newtown is where my heart is, and I am proud to call it home! As a wife, mom of four, small-town advocate, and Village Council member, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it can be when people come together to make things happen!
I grew up on a 153-acre farm in southern Ohio, where my parents, two older siblings, and a barn full of animals taught me the value of hard work, responsibility, and community. In high school, I balanced academics with hospital volunteering, FHA, 4-H, youth group, school clubs, and athletics—experiences that shaped my lifelong passion for service and teamwork.
After graduating from Eastern High School in 1995, I attended the College of Mount Saint Joseph, earning my Bachelor’s Degree in Rehabilitation Science in 1998 and my Master’s in Physical Therapy one year later. My first job out of college was in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital, helping patients with brain injuries and amputations regain their independence. Few things compare to the reward of helping someone walk again! I later stepped back from my PT career to raise our family and stayed active in my kids’ schools—volunteering in classrooms and cafeterias, coaching volleyball, leading Girl Scouts, supporting Boy Scouts, and teaching programs like Junior Achievement and Everybody Counts.
Now, I continue that service through community leadership. From organizing Summerfest and yoga in the park, to building partnerships with local businesses, I’ve focused on turning good ideas into action and results for our village.
I believe thriving communities don’t just happen—they’re built through connection, collaboration, and vision. Whether it’s beautifying our streets, supporting local businesses, or creating events that bring people together, I’m committed to making Newtown a great place to live, work, and play.
When I’m not at Village Hall or volunteering, you’ll probably find me reading, crafting, or playing golf (badly, but with enthusiasm).
Let’s keep building something great together. I’d love to hear your ideas—because when we work together, there’s no limit to what Newtown can achieve!
